  This place is a hole in the wall, if you're looking for authentic and amazing soul food or bbq... this is your place, no need to look any further. Oxtail platter with mac n cheese and yams.  2 way platter with brisket and bbq chicken, with greens. All of it was on point and I'll definitely be coming back!!!

  The customer service was not the best, but it was not the worst. It seemed as if a family member was in to help for the day, to be honest it almost felt like I was at home asking for a plate of food, very casual, very laxed. The gentleman who took the order didn't know plate/price, however he was very nice & friendly.
  
  I was a little thrown off by how unorganized it was behind the counter. It looks as if there isn't enough staff to do the daily side work. But I still give it a shot.
  
  Large dinner plate was ribs, potato salad, snd macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese has been the best Mac and cheese I've had in a really long time. It was perfectly baked, there were large chunks of baked cheese in every bite, creamy and rich,  just the way I like it. I was expecting room temperature potato salad but it was nice and cold as it should be, and it was amazing! The ribs were all so delicious!! The last place that I've had amazing ribs was in Dallas, Texas. Looking forward to visiting again, the food was !

  This food is decent. It's just the cleanliness is subpar. I used to eat here all the time, the greens are really good and the links. The one time I did come was because the staff was cutting the ribs with the same knife as the chicken and eating samples while preparing the food.
  
  After seeing the lack of cleanliness I just refrained from eating here. The flavors are decent.

  Genny's is awesome. The staff is super friendly. The ribs are spot on. I've been there twice and it's consistent. The Mac and cheese is perfect. Big chunks of real cheddar cheese and baked to perfection. The greens are perfect. The cornbread is great. 18$ out the door for an order of ribs with two sides and cornbread....You can't beat it. The sauce is sweet and delicious. Very generous portions.

  I have showed up at the door multiple times when there are suppose to be open only to see a locked cage door. I also have called multiple times over multiple days and got a generic voice mail box. I think this place is closed forever...
